Killer Friends

Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer…

Flashes from the forensic cameras made lightning strikes against the darkness. Detective Emma Cole screeched to a halt in front of the yellow police tape. Strands of the crime scene ribbon fluttered in the biting wind. Red and blue lights from the squad cars pulsated a warning that something terrible had happened.
At first glance, it seemed that the three young people had been partying too much, but the blood told an entirely different story. Forensic evidence would prove that a hail of gunfire had killed the first victim, while the second victim had been shot and savagely beaten to her death.
Detective Emma Cole walked upstairs. She paused briefly outside the first bedroom before opening the door. She took a step inside and stopped abruptly. Nothing could have prepared her for the sight that met her eyes…

It is really a riveting story. Right from the opening scene your drawn in and as always for me I can’t put her books down until I have my conclusion. No matter what twists it takes along the way or a shocking ending that comes out of nowhere..

The mystery is excellent, The story rips open on the first page and like a proper murder mystery, the murder and its clues are at the opening.
The mystery was beautifully crafted. The story was fast and intense. It was gripping from its opening scene and entertaining until the end.
